Materials needed:

  • 4½” x 6½” blossom text or cover weight paper—Yours Truly (two per 8½” x 11” sheet)
  • A7 blossom gatefold—Yours Truly
  • Charcoal ink—ColorBox
  • VersaMark ink
  • Light pink dots—Mark Richards
  • Sheer cream ribbon (2” width)
  • Dry adhesive, such as a tape runner

Suggested tools:

  • Blossoms clear stamp set—Hero Arts
  • Clear acrylic block or stamp press (to use with clear stamp)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Craft knife (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Begin with a vertical (portrait) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Adjust margins to 1” on all sides. You will be able to fit two invitations worth of text in the space, one at the top and one at the bottom. Type and format text.
  2. Print text on blossom paper and trim on all sides to create two 4½” x 6½” pieces.
  3. Ink edges of blossom paper with charcoal ink.
  4. Adhere blossom paper to inside of blossom gatefold.
  5. Stamp flower image repeatedly on outside of gatefold, using VersaMark ink.
  6. Add dots to flowers as shown, using a craft knife to assist you, if necessary.
  7. Wrap ribbon around closed gatefold and tie in knot. Trim ends in a “v” to desired length.
