Lined-envelopes006_large

Materials needed:

  • Envelope
  • 12" x 12" patterned paper of your choice
  • Dry adhesive, such as a tape runner

Suggested tools:

  • Paper trimmer
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Instructions:

  1. Trace envelope onto back of patterned paper.
  2. Use a paper trimmer to cut the straight edges, trimming 1/8" inside the pencil line. The patterned paper should be cut an inch shorter than the envelope (measuring from top of the flap down).
  3. Use scissors to trim the rounded corner of the envelope flap.
  4. Place adhesive on the inside of envelope flap and slide patterned paper inside envelope, making sure the self-adhesive part of the envelope is still showing. (This is why the patterned paper needs to be cut 1" shorter.)
  5. Stamp and write address on seal, if desired.
