Materials needed:

  • Photo cube—MCS Industries
  • 3 3/8” x 3 3/8” Cupcake Sugar Coated cardstock—Doodlebug Design
  • 3 3/8” x 4¾” white cardstock (4)
  • Felt shapes—Making Memories
  • Epoxy shapes—Making Memories
  • Rub-ons—BasicGrey
  • Letter stickers—American Crafts
  • Pink and clear gemstones—Mark Richards
  • Flower gemstones—Hero Arts
  • Brown burlap string
  • Mini Glue Dots
  • Dry adhesive, such as a tape runner

Suggested tools:

  • Scoring tool
  • Paper trimmer
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Take photo cube apart and adhere Cupcake cardstock to one inside panel. Position so this panel becomes the base of your photo cube.
  2. Score all four pieces of white cardstock in half vertically, creating eight panels.
  3. Size eight photos to 2¼” x 3¼”. Adhere a photo to each panel of white cardstock.
  4. Adhere cardstock panels together, back-to-back, creating an “X” formation.
  5. Place photo “X” on top of Cupcake cardstock base, so that each outer point of the “X” touches the corner of the photo cube.
  6. Reassemble the full photo cube. The photo “X” will now be on the inside.
  7. Embellish outside of photo cube using rub-ons, epoxy shapes, letter stickers, felt shapes (we tied ours with burlap string), and gemstones, as desired. If embellishment is not self-adhesive, adhere with Mini Pop Dots or adhesive runner.

Note: If you get unwanted adhesive on the photo cube, Undu adhesive remover is great for taking it off!
