Materials needed:

  • 7" x 10" pearl ivory patterned paper—Masterpiece Studios (one per 12" x 12" sheet)
  • 7" x 10¼" opal text or cover weight paper—Yours Truly (one per 8½" x 11" sheet)
  • Black StazOn ink
  • Cream sheer satin-edge ribbon (1½" width)
  • Dry adhesive, such as a tape runner

Suggested tools:

  • Inspiration Alphabet Uppercase clear stamp set—Stampendous
  • Clear acrylic block or stamp press (to use with clear stamp)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scoring tool
  • Bone folder
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Instructions:

  1. Begin with a horizontal (landscape) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Adjust the margins to ½" on the top and bottom, and ¼" on both sides. Type and format text, centered in the space, leaving room for the stamp. Print text on luxe white paper and trim on all sides to create two 4½" x 6½" pieces.
  2. Print text on opal paper and trim on all sides to create one 7" x 10¼" piece.
  3. Stamp ampersand on opal paper as shown.
  4. Adhere opal paper and pearl ivory patterned paper back-to-back (correct sides on the outside). Since the pearl ivory patterned paper is slightly smaller, there will be a thin opal border on one end.
  5. Score paper at the 2½" and 7½" inch marks using a scoring tool.
  6. Fold flaps in, using a bone folder to create a crisp edge. Position the flap with the thin opal border on the top,
  7. as shown.
  8. Wrap ribbon around closed invitation and tie in knot. Trim ends at an angle to desired length.
