Materials needed:

  • 8½” x 9” strawberry cover weight paper—Yours Truly (one per 8½” x 11” sheet)
  • Black StazOn ink

Suggested tools:

  • 12” x 12” Pollen Dust clear stamp set—Fancy Pants
  • Clear acrylic block or stamp press (to use with clear stamp)
  • Scoring tool
  • Bone folder
  • Paper trimmer
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Instructions:

  1. Begin with a vertical (portrait) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Adjust margins to 1” on the top and bottom. Create two columns and adjust the side margins as necessary. Type and format program text with each panel in a column.
  2. Do a test print to ensure inside text prints correctly. Once ready, print on strawberry cover weight paper.
  3. Create another vertical (portrait) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Adjust the margins to match previous document. Design program cover text near right edge of document.
  4. Flip strawberry paper over and feed through your printer again to print cover on opposite side of inside text.
  5. (Consult your printer’s manual if you are unsure.) We strongly recommend you do a test print to ensure
  6. proper placement.*
  7. Trim 1” off top and bottom of strawberry paper to create an 8½” x 9” piece.
  8. Score strawberry paper in half vertically using a scoring tool. Fold, using a bone folder to create a crisp edge.
  9. Stamp image on top and bottom of program cover as shown.

*If your printer has the ability to print double-sided pages, this process may be different for you.
