Materials needed:
- 3½” x 8½” opal text weight paper (2)—Yours Truly (three per 8½” x 11” sheet)
- 3½” x 8½” opal cover weight paper—Yours Truly (three per 8½” x 11” sheet)
- 3½” x 8½” clear vellum (three per 8½” x 11” sheet)
- Blue sheer ribbon (5/8” width)
Suggested tools:
- ¼” hole punch
- Paper trimmer
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Scissors
Instructions:
- Begin with a horizontal (landscape) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Create three columns. Design program cover in each column, using text and photos, if desired.
- Change printer settings to print on vellum (consult your printer’s manual). Print program cover on vellum and trim to create three 3½” x 8½” pieces.
- Create another horizontal (landscape) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Create three columns to match previous document. Type and format text for the first program page.
- Print first program page text on opal text weight paper and trim on all sides to create three 3½” x 8½” pieces.
- Create another horizontal (landscape) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Create three columns to match previous document. Type and format text for the second program page.
- Print second program page text on opal text weight paper and trim on all sides to create three 3½” x 8½” pieces.
- Assemble program as follows: vellum cover, opal cover weight paper, first opal program page, and second opal program page.
- Punch two holes near top of invitation, punching through all layers.
- Thread ribbon through holes as shown. Trim ends at an angle to desired length.
