Materials needed:

  • 3½" x 8½" opal text or cover weight paper—Yours Truly (two per 8½" x 11" sheet)
  • 4" x 10½" arctic gold text or cover weight paper—Yours Truly (two per 8½" x 11" sheet)
  • Gold sheer ribbon (5/8" width)
  • Dry adhesive, such as a tape runner

Suggested tools:

  • 1/8" hole punch
  • Scoring tool
  • Bone folder
  • Paper trimmer
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Begin with a vertical (portrait) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Adjust margins to 1¼" on the top and bottom, and ¾" on each side. Create two columns. Type and format text.
  2. Print text on opal paper and trim on all sides to create two 3½" x 8½" pieces.
  3. Score arctic gold paper 1" from the top using a scoring tool.
  4. Adhere opal paper to bottom of arctic gold paper, leaving a thin border, as shown.
  5. Fold arctic gold flap over opal paper.
  6. Using hole punch, punch two holes at top of invitation.
  7. Thread ribbon through holes as shown. Trim ends at an angle to desired length.
