Materials needed:

  • 1½" x 5" roses vellum—The Paper Company (10 per 8½" x 11" sheet)
  • 3½" x 8½" opal text or cover weight paper—Yours Truly (two per 8½" x 11" sheet)
  • 3¾" x 8¾" quartz cover weight paper—Yours Truly (two per 8½" x 11" sheet)
  • Pearls
  • Dry adhesive, such as a tape runner

Suggested tools:

  • Rotary trimmer—Fiskars
  • Scallop rotary blade—Fiskars
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Craft knife (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Begin with a vertical (portrait) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Adjust margins to 1¼" on the top and bottom, and ¾" on each side. Create two columns. Type and format text.
  2. Print text on opal paper and trim on all sides to create two 3½" x 8½" pieces.
  3. Replace rotary trimmer blade with scallop blade. Cut scallop along one edge of vellum.
  4. Position vellum at top of opal paper as shown. Wrap ends around back and adhere.
  5. Adhere opal paper to quartz paper.
  6. Add pearls as shown, using a craft knife to assist you, if necessary.
