Materials needed:

  • 3" x 5" white text or cover weight paper—Yours Truly (four per 8½" x 11" sheet)
  • 3¼" x 5¼" pool text or cover weight paper—Yours Truly (four per 8½" x 11" sheet)
  • 4¾" x 6¾" brown and teal patterned paper—Déjà Views (two per 12" x 12" sheet)
  • A7 pool flat note—Yours Truly
  • Teal sheer ribbon (5/8" width)
  • Pop Dots
  • Dry adhesive, such as a tape runner

Suggested tools:

  • ¼" hole punch
  • Paper trimmer
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Begin with a vertical (portrait) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Adjust margins to 1¼" on the sides and ½" on the top and bottom. Create two columns. You will be able to fit two invitations worth of text in each column, one at the top and one at the bottom. Type and format text.
  2. Print text on white paper and trim on all sides to create four 3" x 5" pieces.
  3. Adhere patterned paper to pool flat note.
  4. Punch two holes in white paper as shown.
  5. Thread ribbon through holes. Trim ends at an angle to desired length.
  6. Adhere white paper to small pool paper.
  7. Adhere small pool paper to center of invitation, using Pop Dots.
