Materials needed:

  • 1 5/8” x 2 1/8” black text or cover weight paper—Yours Truly (24 per 8½” x 11” sheet)
  • 4” x 5¼” quartz text or cover weight paper—Yours Truly (two per 8½” x 11” sheet)
  • 4” x 5¼” graduation caps foil patterned paper—Sandylion (six per 12” x 12” sheet)
  • A2 red scored card—Yours Truly
  • Black StazOn ink
  • Red burlap string
  • Dry adhesive, such as a tape runner

Suggested tools:

  • Save-the-Date clear stamp set—Stampendous
  • Clear acrylic block or stamp press (to use with clear stamp)
  • 1¼” circle punch
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Instructions:

  1. Begin with a vertical (portrait) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Adjust margins to 1 ½” on all sides. You will be able to fit two invitations worth of text in the space, one at the top and one at the bottom. Type and format text, leaving room for photo and stamp.
  2. Print text on quartz paper and trim on all sides to create two 4” x 5¼” pieces.
  3. Size photo to 1½” x 2”. Adhere to black paper and adhere to right side of quartz paper.
  4. Stamp sentiment in bottom right corner of quartz paper as shown.
  5. Adhere quartz paper to inside of red scored card.
  6. Adhere patterned paper to outside of red scored card.
  7. Punch circle in bottom right corner of outer flap of card.
  8. Tie red burlap string as shown.
