Materials needed:

  • 2½” x 2½” ruby shimmer paper—The Paper Company (12 per 8½” x 11” sheet)
  • 4½” x 6½” opal text or cover weight paper—Yours Truly (two per 8½” x 11” sheet)
  • A7 black scallop flat note—Yours Truly
  • Aged Mahogany Distress Ink—Tim Holtz
  • Dry adhesive, such as a tape runner

Suggested tools:

  • Magnolia die-cut font—QuicKutz
  • Revolution die-cutting machine—QuicKutz
  • Small Type Alphabet clear stamp set—Stampendous
  • Clear acrylic blocks or stamp press (to use with clear stamp)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Instructions:

  1. Begin with a vertical (portrait) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Adjust margins to 1” on all sides. You will be able to fit two invitations worth of text in the space, one at the top and one at the bottom. Type and format text, leaving space for number.
  2. Print text on opal paper and trim on all sides to create two 4½” x 6½” pieces.
  3. Die-cut number out of ruby shimmer paper. Adhere to opal paper, as shown.
  4. Stamp letters on right side of number, as shown.
  5. Adhere opal paper to flat scallop note.
