Materials needed:
- 3” x 7¾” opal text weight paper—Yours Truly (three per 8½” x 11” sheet)
- 3” x 10” opal cover weight paper—Yours Truly (two per 8½” x 11” sheet)
- 3½” x 8¼”opal cover weight paper—Yours Truly (three per 8½” x 11” sheet)
- 8½” x 11” wedding flourish patterned paper—Reminisce (one per 12” x 12” sheet)
- Frayed burlap distress ink—Tim Holtz
- Clear embossing powder
- Dry adhesive, such as a tape runner
Suggested tools:
- Urban Acres Blvd. clear stamp set—Heidi Grace Designs
- Clear acrylic block or stamp press (to use with clear stamp)
- Heat gun
- Scoring tool
- Bone folder
- Paper trimmer
- Pencil
- Ruler
Instructions:
- Begin with a horizontal (landscape) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Create three columns and adjust the margins to match the dimensions above. Type and format text, centered in each column.
- Print text on opal text weight paper and trim on all sides to create three 3” x 7¾” pieces.
- Adhere to 3½” x 8¼” opal cover weight paper.
- Use a scoring tool to score patterned paper twice, creating three equally sized sections.
- Adhere invitation piece to middle section. Fold flaps over to close, using a bone folder to create a crisp edge.
- Wrap 3” x 10” opal cover weight paper around closed invitation, creating a band. Use a bone folder to create a crisp edge. Adhere in the back.
- Slide band off invitation and stamp images on center of band as shown. Sprinkle with embossing powder, tapping off excess. Heat with heat gun until image appears shiny and raised. Slide band back on invitation.
