Materials needed:

  • 2½” x 2½” pool cover weight paper—Yours Truly (12 per 8½” x 11” sheet)
  • 3¾” x 5” pool text or cover weight paper—Yours Truly (four per 8½” x 11” sheet)
  • 4¼” x 11” blossom cover weight paper—Yours Truly (two per 8½” x 11” sheet)
  • Rouge ink—Colorbox
  • Cake embellishment—Westrim Crafts
  • Sequin flowers—Hero Arts
  • Clear gemstones
  • Dry adhesive, such as a tape runner

Suggested tools:

  • Scoring tool
  • Bone folder
  • Paper trimmer
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Instructions:

  1. Begin with a horizontal (landscape) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Create two columns and adjust margins to match dimensions above. You will be able to fit two invitations worth of text in each column, one on the top and one on the bottom. Type and format text.
  2. Print text on pool paper and trim on all sides to create four 3¾” x 5” pieces. Ink edges.
  3. Score blossom paper at the 2¾” and 8¼” inch marks.
  4. Adhere invitation text to middle section of blossom paper.
  5. Add sequin flower to invitation text as shown.
  6. Fold blossom flaps in to close invitation. Ink outer edges of invitation.
  7. Ink edges of 2½” x 2½” pool paper. Adhere left edge to left flap of invitation.
  8. Add cake embellishment on top of 2½” x 2½” pool paper.
