Materials needed:

  • 1½” x 7” red text or cover weight paper—Yours Truly (seven per 8½” x 11 sheet)
  • 3½” x 7” white text or cover weight paper—Yours Truly (three per 8½” x 11 sheet)
  • A7 black flat note—Yours Truly
  • Dry adhesive, such as a tape runner

Suggested tools:

  • Rotary scallop blade—Fiskars
  • Rotary paper trimmer—Fiskars
  • 1 /16” hole punch
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Instructions:

  1. Begin with a horizontal (landscape) letter-sized document in a word-processing program. Create three columns, adjusting margins to match dimensions above. Type and format text, leaving room at the top and bottom.
  2. Print text on white paper and trim on all sides to create three 3½” x 7” pieces.
  3. Adhere white paper to center of flat note.
  4. Switch blade on rotary trimmer to scallop blade. Cut along long edge of red paper.
  5. Use hole punch to punch small holes in red scallop strip as shown.
  6. Cut red scallop strip in half and adhere to white paper, one piece at the top and one at the bottom.
