Hi, my friend is trying to find a mixed-media photo/scrapbook/memorabilia book to give to her mom as a gift this Christmas. At first, she was going to create a digital photo book, but she also wants to include tickets, brochures and other ephemera from a trip the family took last summer. I'm familiar with K&Co.'s "Smash" journal, and the brag book from FancyPants, etc., but they are not quite right. Right now, she's considering creating a digital photo book and leaving pages blank at the end, and perhaps buying some pocket pages to affix for the ephemera. Is there any other option?

Here are a couple of other options that we have on the Annex:

The book from Amy Tangerine is full of bright colors and fun pages. Check out her blog for more inspiration: http://amytangerine.blogspot.com/

She could also create her own album by using chipboard for the front and back covers (giving the book a bit more support and structure). She could use binding rings to keep it all together, or use a binding machine like the Cinch. The possibilities really are endless with mixed media journals and albums.

Hope this helps!
