We suggest embossing on patterned paper first and then wrapping that around the candle. The heat gun used for embossing (using the Distress Powder) would melt the wax. Trim your patterned paper so that it'll fit around the candle (using more than one strip if needed) and embossing on that before wrapping the paper around the candle. Also keep the paper near the bottom so that it doesn't get too close to the flame. You could also try using stickers on the candle, but they might not stick to the wax. Hope this helps!
